From Ms. Suzuki, representative of the NPO "LYSTA" in Fukushima Prefecture,

we received a report on the cats for January 2025.

January Activity Report.

■TNR: 58 cats
■Adoptions: 5 cats

Juri-chan has found a foster parent!

Juri-chan, a cat with deformed front paws rescued from the health center in December, has found a foster parent.
She was welcomed into the home of someone who has been a shelter volunteer for over 10 years.
 

Treatment begins! Shiromitsu-kun's appetite has returned!

Two cats contracted FIP, and treatment began for both.
Shiromitsu-kun had dry FIP.
Torte-chan had wet FIP.
After starting treatment, they regained their energy and appetite within 2-3 days.
 
Just a few years ago, FIP had a 100% mortality rate.
Now, it's a disease that can achieve remission with 84 days of treatment.
 
However, the medication is unapproved and expensive.
Including examination fees, it will cost over 700,000 yen for the two cats.
