aoneco support for NPO animal welfare organization "LYSTA" December 2024 activity report and donation thank you

December Activity Report from NPO Animal Welfare Organization "LYSTA," Supported by aoneco, and a Thank You for Your Donations!

We received an update on the cats for December 2024 from Ms. Suzuki, the representative of "LYSTA," an NPO in Fukushima Prefecture.

Here is the December activity report.

■ Sterilization and neutering of ownerless cats: 85 cats
■ New rescues: 3 cats

About the three cats rescued in December

1. Juli-chan, with congenital malformation of both front legs

Juli-chan was in the public health center due to a congenital malformation of both front legs. We took her in because it would be difficult for her to be adopted by the general public from the health center.

2. Hashimoto-kun, rescued from a bridge pier

We received a call about a cat that had been stuck on a bypass bridge pier for about a week and couldn't get down.

We asked the national highway office for cooperation, and they used ropes to lift a humane trap onto the bridge pier to set it. The next day, the cat was successfully caught and safely brought down to the ground.

3. Ram-chan, who became completely blind

A person bought a Munchkin cat, then immediately decided to divorce and couldn't take the cat back to their parents' house, so they entrusted it to a relative in a separate household for a year.

The cat escaped and was brought to the police, where it was found to have an irreparable proptosis, requiring surgery to remove its left eyeball. The relative who was looking after it said they "couldn't keep it anymore," and with nowhere for it to go after being discharged, we were consulted and took it in. Before escaping, the cat had also "collided with a clothesline," which led to the removal of its right eyeball, resulting in complete blindness.

 We appreciate your continued support.
