Aoneco's Beneficiary: July Activity Report and Donation Thank You from NPO Animal Welfare Organization "LYSTA"!

We received an update on the cats for July 2025 from Ms. Suzuki, the representative of the NPO "LYSTA" in Fukushima Prefecture.

July Activity Report

In July, TNR was performed on 41 male cats and 50 female cats. Of the 50 female cats, 12 were pregnant.
As the number of cats increases, they become more noticeable to people who dislike cats, and the cats are treated as pests.

The ideal is for more people to take action and "take a cat for surgery while it's still one cat, before it multiplies," if cats start appearing in their yard.

It's a black cat, not a calico!

The malnourished cat in the photo looks like a calico cat at first glance, but it's a black cat.
Especially with black cats, malnutrition is easily visible due to the effect of melanin.

In the area where this cat lives, these cats are treated as pests, and feeding them is also prohibited.

Some kind-hearted individuals brought them in for surgery, and they were able to find a home.

Sore Paw Pads

The cat with eosinophilic granuloma had severely inflamed paw pads.
Considering this cat was walking on the ground and asphalt with these feet, life outside must be harsh.
It's a relief that this cat was taken in by someone who brought them for surgery and will be receiving medication for eosinophilic granuloma.

Menko-chan Safely Discharged!

Protected cat Menko-chan developed pneumonia. (The cat in the thumbnail image)
Her labored breathing was truly distressing, so she was hospitalized and managed in an oxygen chamber.
Although the hospitalization and treatment costs exceeded 100,000 yen, she has recovered and been discharged.
