A cat protection cafe in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture, dedicated to the treatment and rehoming of rescue cats.
We have been active since 2009, which was rare nationwide at the time.
The name "Kagonyan" comes from our desire to be a cradle (kago) for rescued cats (nyan).
Many of our cats were once strays, and we lovingly teach each one how to interact with people. Many of them are so affectionate that you'd wonder if they were really strays.
In 2022, Kagonyan rehomed and rescued a total of 126 cats at our cafe.
In addition to the cafe, we found homes for approximately 40 more cats through mediation and adoption events.
Our cafe may be small, at just 17 tsubo, but it thrives thanks to everyone's donations, which cover vast amounts for consumables and medical expenses.
We will continue to work hard, and we appreciate your support.
How your donation helps: What if you donated 22,000 yen?
It would cover the cost of milk, vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgery for one kitten with a collar.
How your donation helps: What if you donated 220,000 yen?
It would cover the cost of surgery, hospitalization, and care for an injured cat hit by a car.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kagonyan
